We were thinking of creating a flow chart to guide the interim design changes, but it seems that with today, the chaos of recent weeks comes to an end. Renault has announced the release of Patrick Quement him as chief designer of the company, passing the baton to his former counterpart at Mazda, Dutchman Laurens van den Acker.

Van den Acker, born in 1965, found work as a designer at Audi exterior in 1993. In 1996 he joined Ford as chief designer brand, rising to head of strategic design in 2005 and then a year later, general director of the office style of Mazda in Hiroshima. Following his departure from the Japanese manufacturer, now owned by Ikuo Maeda, will join the May 15th for Renault.
Some of his recent works were the prototypes for Mazda Hakaze and Ryugo, developed together with his compatriot Franz von Holzhausen.
For his part, Patrick le Quement takes no less than 22 years in the home of the diamond, where he held various positions of responsibility, including the group address the overall design of Renault-Nissan alliance. Among his creations include the Twingo, the first two generations of the Megane and Espace II. Less fortunate were the Avantime and Vel Satis. We do not know at this time about his plans after leaving her post at Renault, but his 64 years, a well-deserved respite.
